The company of renewable energy announces that it is going to project 3,000 megawatts of clean energy in 50 municipalities in the province of Teruel, to carry out 66 wind and photovoltaic parks over the next four years, investing more than 2.4 billion euros in this project.
This becomes great news, not only because it will generate many new jobs, but because it is committed to energy efficiency and finding viable and sustainable options with which to obtain energy without damaging the planet.
More clean energy and more jobs
Forestalia is a business group which is dedicated to renewable energies (photovoltaic, biomass and wind) and was born in Zaragoza by Fernando Samper Rivas, president and founder of the group, who already had extensive business experience. It has currently become news because it has announced a significant investment in renewable energy parks in Teruel, which opens the door to 12,000 jobs during the years of construction of the parks and more than 450 jobs during the exploitation phase.

This important environmental news comes just at a time when the energy sector is suffering because many megawatt licenses, which were granted during the 2015 and 2017 auctions, which should come into operation in 2020 (between January and March), do not They will be able to fulfill their mission. If there are no extensions, they will lose the financial guarantees and also the rights to guaranteed profitability that the electrical system provides them. Forestalia, despite the criticism received of being one of the groups most behind in the projects, defends itself and ensures that they are within the allowed period and that they will comply with the established deadlines. The renewable energy company plans to develop a portfolio of 34 photovoltaic parks and 32 wind farms in Teruel, with a forecast of income in the territory of more than 400 million in 30 years, through land rental and municipal taxes.
In addition to these projects, Forestalia will create a pellet production plant in Andorra, which will become the largest pellet plant in all of Spain, because it will have a production capacity of about 200,000 tons per year. This Andorran plant will create 60 jobs at the plant and more than 350 in forestry, biomass collection and logistics. Currently, the company already has two pellet plants in Burgos and Zaragoza and is positioning itself, step by step, as one of the most important companies in terms of renewable energies within the Spanish territory.
