The Catalan coast will have 13 charging stations for electric vehicles
The Ports Manager of the Generalitat of Catalonia, Joan Pere Gómez, affirms that the installation of these charging stations for electric vehicles in the 13 ports of the Catalan coast is a great advance for everyone, because it means that any citizen can circulate with a electric vehicle from the north and to the south of the Catalan coast, being able to refuel at any of these 13 points. Ports de la Generalitat has awarded this project to have electric vehicle charging stations in 13 Catalan ports, to promote sustainable and efficient mobility among users.

A plan for the mobility of the future
It is an action that is part of the investment plan (2019-2022) and is an investment of 202,000 euros, with which these 13 charging points will be installed by the middle of this month of November.
Of these 13 stations, three will be fast charging, which allows the 80% battery to be recharged in just 20 minutes, in addition to offering the possibility of recharging in direct current at 50kW and 45kW, alternately. These three charging points will be installed in the ports of Palamós, Sant Carles de la Rápita and Vilanova i la Geltrú.
The remaining 10 points will be semi-fast charging, that is, the vehicle can be fully recharged in about 3 hours and requires an alternating current power of 22kW. These stations will be implemented in the ports of Port de la Selva, Llançá, Roses, Sant Feliu de Guíxols, l'Escala, Arenys de Mar, Blanes, l'Ametlla de Mar, Casas de Alcanar and Deltebre.
The stations will be located on public roads, correctly signposted and with guaranteed uninterrupted access for any standard vehicle. Users of this new service will be able to activate it through an app, using a QR code.
Benefits of sustainable mobility
The entire Catalan coast will have charging points to ensure clean mobility throughout the territory. Installing electric vehicle charging points in ports will facilitate and adapt port facilities to the needs of climate change, in addition to reducing greenhouse gases, environmental impact and noise pollution.
Sustainable mobility saves costs, there is less oil exploitation, less emission of harmful gases, it improves the health of citizens and the planet, it takes care of the ecosystem, it puts an end to greenhouse gas pollution, that is, more air is consumed. breathable and less harmful and also with noise pollution, since electric vehicles do not emit noise when they are running.
If you are thinking of buying a car, opt for electric mobility, to enjoy all these advantages, with which you will contribute your grain of sand to build a much healthier way of moving for everyone.
