YOU CAN SAVE UP TO €750 ANNUALLY THANKS TO ENERGY REHABILITATION
The heat seems to come earlier and linger later. The already famous heat waves They hit Spanish homes with increasing force and frequency and that is why it is natural that in summer the electricity spent on air conditioners increases the electricity bill. This explains the peaks that occur each year in the months of July and August, the hottest of the year.
Although this is due to the constant increase in the price of this service, it is true that consumers themselves can do something to avoid bills with more figures than necessary.
How can we reduce our electricity costs?
ANDIMAC (National Association of Ceramic and Construction Materials Distributors), who has extensive experience in the field of this type of reforms, affirms that this could easily be avoided. From this group it is safely said that, in an apartment of about 90 square meters, certain renovation and maintenance works could mean a savings from the 40 and 80% compared to the previous invoice, which could amount to €750 annually.
ANDIMAC calculates that, if an ambitious plan is launched to implement its measures in the different Spanish homes, a total of 12,000 million euros could be saved per year. This would not only mean something positive for consumers, but, by reducing electricity consumption, it would also mean a great advance in the environmental field, considerably reducing greenhouse gas emissions and other pollutants produced by the energy supply industry.
Thus, a small initial investment could end up, in the long run, meaning more than considerable savings.
What do these reforms consist of?
The first thing is to ensure that the place has a good enclosure from the outside, as this helps maintain the moderate temperatures inside. That alone represents a great advance. To do this, the best thing is to replace the covers with others based on less porous and temperature-conducting materials, which is why ANDIMAC recommends things like thick glass with an air chamber in the windows or the replacement of door frames and windows with wooden or PVC ones, both materials with an enviable insulation capacity.
There are also energy recovery systems, which constantly expel air. ANDIMAC has proposals to take advantage of this as well, since only good filters would be necessary to eliminate impurities from that air and use it for the air conditioning of the room.
And these are just some of the proposals that would turn our home into a sustainable one and, at the same time, beneficial for us, because savings and environmentalism are not incompatible. .
